Madison woman hurt in two-vehicle crash

BROOKINGS – One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident southwest of Brookings Monday, according to the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident was reported at 1:45 p.m. Monday and occurred near West 16th Avenue South and 32nd Street South, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring said.

Amy Terrall, 45, of Madison, was driving a 2016 Dodge Journey southbound and Benjamin Clites, 18, of Brookings, was driving a 2000 Volkswagen Beetle eastbound, Sebring said.

“At the intersection, the two vehicles collided causing damage to both vehicles. Amy was transported to the Brookings hospital by the Brookings Ambulance for unknown injuries,” Sebring said.

The Dodge sustained $11,632 in damage, and the Beetle sustained $3,548 in damage, Sebring said. 

The accident remains under investigation with the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
