It occurred about 5 p.m. Saturday, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring said.
Jason Marlette, 46, of Bruce was traveling westbound on 203rd Street about a quarter mile east of 463rd Avenue when a deer came out of the ditch.
“The ATV struck the deer and the vehicle went into the south ditch, where it rolled. The ATV received minor damage,” Sebring said.

Also responding to the scene were Bruce First Responders.
The accident is under investigation with the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
