Marlene Louise Staloch, age 82, of Wells, Minnesota, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, at her home in Wells, Minnesota, surrounded by her family. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells, Minnesota, with Fr. Matt Fasnacht officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. with a 7: p.m. prayer service Friday at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, Minnesota. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Interment will be at St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery in Wells\.  Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is assisting the family. Marlene Louise was born February 28, 1936 in Minnesota Lake Township in Faribault County, Minnesota, the daughter of Herman and Leola (Leininger) Wach.  She attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic School in Easton thru Eighth Grade and graduated from Wells High School in 1954.  After high school she worked at Young’s Shoe Store.  Marlene was united in marriage to Donald Staloch July 20, 1955 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Easton, Minnesota and to this union three daughters were born.  Marlene was an excellent homemaker and loved raising her family.  Marlene worked with her husband farming.  When her daughters were out of high school she went back into the work force.  Marlene worked at Benson Optical, Red Owl Store, Wells Electric and USC High School as secretary for Athletic Director/Community Education Office.  Marlene was a member of the Legion Aux, VFW Aux, and DAV Aux.  She loved playing cards of all kinds especially Bridge and& Five Hundred with her dear friends.  She was a faithful member of St. Casimir’s Church.  She was a Eucharistic minister, a member of the CCW, St. Joseph’s Circle and the Foresters.  Marlene loved her grandchildren, their spouses and great grandchildren and went to many of their sports activities.  Marlene was a sports fan of the Vikings and the Minnesota Lynx basketball.  She also enjoyed the Wells Golf Club and Ladies Day.  

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband Donald; mother and father-in-law: Joe and Mary Staloch.  

Marlene is survived by her children: Debra (George) Widman of Wells, Minnesota, Dawn (Brian) Grunzke of Brookings, Darcy Staloch-Niebuhr (Tom Niebuhr)  of New Hope, Minnesota; 10 grandchildren: Dave (Becky) Widman, Derek Widman, Doug Widman (Destiny Nason), Dan Widman, and Duncan Widman, Jerad Grunzke, Jenifer (Chad) Erickson, Amanda (Jared) Bauman, Shelby Niebuhr and Spencer Niebuhr; eight great-grandchildren: Randy, Brennan and Charli Grunzke, Cody and Emma Erickson, Jackson and Easton Bauman, and Zach Widman;  brothers: Leo (Elaine) Wach of Albert Lea, Minnesota, and Dale (Marion) Wach of Kasota, Minnesota ; sister-in-law: Verona Staloch of Byron, Minnesota; numerous nieces, nephews and their family.
