Marvin J. “Hay Boy” Walker, Jr., 80, of Estelline, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018, at Prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown. 

It was Hay Boy’s wishes that no services be held and his body be donated to USD School of Medicine’s Body Donation Program. Geise Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Marvin John Walker, Jr. was born June 19, 1938, in Waukegan, Illinois, the son of Marvin and Marie (Musch) Walker. He grew up and attended school in Lake Villa, Illinois. 

He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served for three years. He worked with his father on the family farm and began his career as a truck driver. He moved to South Dakota in 1966. Hay Boy worked for Thompson Brothers Inc. as a truck driver and later ran a saw mill in Toronto.

Hay Boy was a busy body, always finding a new venture to start. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and belonging to the Rendezvousers.

He is survived by his two sons, Jerry (Patricia) Walker of Estelline and John Walker of Washington; 10 grandchildren; a great -grandchild; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janice Walker; sister, Diane Walker; grandson, Barret Walker and nephew, Jimmy Murrie.
