Mary Ann Loiseau, 96, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, surrounded by family. 

Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church in Flandreau, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 5 - 7 p.m. Monday at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Flandreau, with a 7 p.m. rosary.

Mary Ann (Schwebach) Loiseau was born Oct. 15, 1921, to Joseph and Anna (Kottman) Schwebach.  As a child, she attended country school near her rural Dell Rapids home.  On May 7, 1941, she married Alfred Loiseau and they had five children. They farmed in the Pipestone, Minnesota, Flandreau and Egan areas. For over 20 years, she drove school bus and then cooked for the Egan School. In 2000, she moved into her very first new home in Egan.  In April of 2017, her health required her to enter Edgewood Vista Assisted Living in Flandreau.

Mary Ann is survived by a son John (LeAnn) Loiseau of Watertown;  two daughters,  Rita (Duane) Greenhoff of Flandreau and  Jane (Steve) Witte of Egan;  daughter-in-law Sharon Loiseau of Watertown;  16 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Hattervig of Dell Rapids and Claire Huberts of Amityville, Ney York.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Loiseau (1996), sons, William (Bill) Loiseau (1997) and Ralph Loiseau (July 2018); great-great-granddaughter Brooklyn Grace Rochel and siblings, Joseph (Son) Schwebach, Urban Schwebach, Cordula Williamson, Isabelle Schmidt, and Joan Brown.
