Posted

BROOKINGS – Members of the Brookings Mental Health Task Force are currently identifying and investigating resources currently available in the Brookings area to support individuals affected by mental health issues.

The Task Force is creating a comprehensive listing of all available resources and would like to include local support programs and support groups. Anyone who would like to share information of their entities’ support program or group should contact Nikki Eining at 692-8092 or nikki.eining@avera.org.

The City of Brookings, Brookings County and the Brookings School District have a long history of collaboration and cooperation and are committed to a high quality of life for all.

The purpose of the Task Force on Mental Illness is to complete a comprehensive needs assessment, create a roadmap of services currently available to the mentally ill, and to propose improvements to the current services available to people with mental health issues in our community.
