Minotauros beat Blizzard 7-0

BROOKINGS – Seven different Minotauros lit the lamp as Minot spoiled the Blizzard’s home opener with a 7-0 victory during NAHL action Friday night at Larson Ice Center.

Ben Garrity made 29 saves to earn the win in goal.

Andrew Kangas, Lincoln Erne and Fritz Belisle (power play) scored first-period goals.

Joseph Dokken (power play), David Raisanen, Wilmer Skoog and Matthew Gellerman added goals in the third period.

Raisanen, Taylor Lantz and Didrik Henbrant each recorded two assists, while Belisle, Gallerman, Nick Storm, Sam Skinner and Kyle Oleksiuk contributed one apiece.

Brookings goalie Jack Caruso had 13 saves and allowed six goals in 46:16 of game time. McLean Dorr stopped 11 shots and gave up one goal over the final 13:44.

The Minotauros finished 2-for-7 on power plays, while the Blizzard were 0-for-4.

Brookings (1-2-1-1, 4 points) and Minot (4-1, 8 points) face off again tonight at 7:05.
