Minotauros drop Blizzard 6-2

MINOT, N.D. – The Minotauros beat the Blizzard 6-2 in an NAHL Central Division game Friday night at Pepsi Rink at Maysa Arena.

Justin Kelley and Joseph Harguindeguy scored first-period goals, while Wilmer Skoog and David Raisanen lit the lamp in the second to put Minot ahead 4-0.

Brookings got on the board via Brady Bjork’s tally with 16:46 remaining in the game. David Israel and Anthony Szurlej assisted.

Gabe Wahl found the back of the net on a power play off assists from Alex Murray and Cam Babiak to cut the deficit to 4-2 with 14:12 to play.

Kelley’s short-handed goal with 10:22 left put Minot up 5-2. Matthew Gellerman added a goal with 2:22 showing on the clock.

Nicholas Grabko made 35 saves to earn the win in goal. Spencer Kimball had a pair of assists.

Brookings goalie George McBey stopped 37 shots.

The Blizzard (8-30-2-1, 19 points) and Minotauros (23-17-1-0, 47 points) face off again tonight at 7:35 in Minot.
