The South Dakota State women’s basketball team’s Think Pink game raised $13,200 for the Edith Sanford Breast Foundation with the sale of its pink Under Armour jerseys on Feb. 8.
“Our Think Pink game was another highly successful event raising over $13,000 to be donated to the Edith Sanford Breast Foundation. Thank you to our fans and student-athletes who supported the event,” 18th-year SDSU head coach Aaron Johnston said.
The Jackrabbits’ Under Armour pink jerseys were auctioned immediately following their win over Oral Roberts and sold for between $500 and $2,500.
“At the Edith Sanford Breast Foundation, we are continually amazed by, and deeply grateful for, the incredible support from the Jackrabbits and their dedicated fans,” said Jenna Steffel, Edith Sanford Breast Foundation Senior Marketing Specialist. “Every dollar raised from last week’s jersey auction will help us deliver the highest standard of breast cancer care across the region and will be invested directly into innovative research.”
