Motorcycle driver injured in Aurora accident

AURORA – A motorcyclist was injured after he had a medical issue while riding in Aurora, according to the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident was reported at 2:47 p.m. Saturday and occurred in the 700 block of Lovejoy Lane in Aurora, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring said.

Paul Richter, 54, of Aurora, was riding a 1984 Honda motorcycle.

“Richter had pulled his vehicle onto Lovejoy Lane from his residence. He became dizzy due to a medical condition and tipped the motorcycle over,” Sebring said.

Richter was transported to the Brookings hospital by the Brookings Ambulance and treated for unknown injuries.

The motorcycle sustained no damage.

Also responding were the Aurora First Responders. 

The accident is under investigation with the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
