Museum hosting Noon Year’s Eve celebration

BROOKINGS – The Children’s Museum of South Dakota is ushering in the New Year with a Noon Year’s Eve celebration from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31.

The highlight of the day will be a New Year’s parade with museum guests led by museum mascot Kidoodle followed by a ball drop at noon sharp. 

“We’ve been busy planning activities and are really excited to have Kidoodle help us celebrate and drop the ball in celebration of the New Year,” Associate Director Mike Mogard said.

Museum exhibits will be available all day with an opportunity to make your own noise maker in the Art Studio. The Maker Studio will be open from 1-4 p.m. featuring New Year’s Around the World activities. 

Admission is $8 per person, with children under 1 year old free of charge. Members of the Children’s Museum of South Dakota are admitted free as well.
