Myrna, 87, died peacefully in her sleep at dawn Oct. 16, 2017, in Denver, her home of 65 years, after a four-day weekend of activities with her three daughters.
She was peceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Denholm, in 1969 and survived by daughters Dianne Denholm (Bob Eriksson), Bonnie Denholm and Jeanine Denholm (Gregg Crandell), and brother Lyle Allison (Fern) of Brookings. She delighted in four grandsons, a granddaughter, two great-grandsons, and many nieces and nephews. Her vibrant life story is on the web site, www.olingerchapelhill.com.
Myrna grew up on the Allison family farm south of Brookings and graduated from SDSU with a degree in nursing.
Her parents were Edna Mabel Watson and Andrew Beardsley Allison. Myrna was the sister-in-law of Frank & Mildred Denholm of Brookings, and maintained a musical and happy family connection with them, and regularly returned to Brookings for family visits.
