KANSAS CITY – The National Association of Basketball Coaches named Mike Daum to the All-District 12 team, released Tuesday by the organization.

Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC in Division I, Daum was named to the district’s first team for the second year in a row and will be on the All-American ballot.

The Kimball, Neb., native is the two-time defending Summit League Player of the Year and sixth nationally in scoring average this season. Daum is one of just three players nationally – joining Gonzaga’s Jock Landale and Duke’s Marvin Bagley III – to average a 20-10 double-double on the season with 23.8 points and 10.4 rebounds per contest. He has 21 double-doubles on the campaign (including 12 in 14 Summit League games) and has reached double figures in all but one contest, including 12 30-point performances.

The big man also reset the school’s single-season 3-point record this year, hitting 91 from deep so far.

Daum was also a USBWA All-District selection, announced earlier this month.

The Jackrabbits earned a No. 12 seed in the NCAA Tournament and will open their postseason run Thursday against fifth-seeded Ohio State at 3 p.m. CDT in Boise, Idaho.
