BROOKINGS – Sen. Reynold Nesiba, minority whip of the South Dakota Senate, will conduct an open forum on bills in the Legislature this session from 10:30 a.m.-noon Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Brookings Activity Center.
The event is sponsored by the Brookings County Democrats.
Nesiba represents District 15 in Sioux Falls and has become a Senate leader noted for his bipartisan work on legislation. An economics professor at Augustana University, he serves on the Appropriations Committee. He’s a sponsor on bills proposing offering driver’s license exams in Spanish and advocating education rights for deaf students.
Nesiba will also be a special guest at the legislative forum held from 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Brookings City & County Government Center featuring legislators from Districts 4 and 7.
The events are free and open to the public.
