MADISON, Wis. – The South Dakota State men’s golf team is 11th after the opening round of the Badger Invitational Sunday.
The Jackrabbits shot a 308 on the par-72, 7,259-yard University Ridge Golf Course. Illinois State shot a one-under par 287 to lead the 12-team field. Rutgers’ Tony Jiang leads the 78-player field with a five-under par 67.
Jared Nicolls led the Jackrabbits with a three-over par 75 and is tied for 26th. Sam Batta is tied for 35th, firing a four-over par 76. Harry Duggan shot a five-over par 77 and is tied for 44th.
Alejandro Perazzo is tied for 62nd (80) and junior Jacob Otta tied for 76th (85).
