BROOKINGS – The third house to be featured on the FCCLA Tour of Homes on Sunday is the ultramodern house of Justin and Kelly Odegaard located on 1530 Sylvan Circle.

Built in 2017 by Windermere Properties, this home’s style is a garden view walk-out with an open floor concept. The main room highlights a sleek all-tile fireplace, along with a huge granite island.

With four bedrooms and three full bathrooms, this home features oak distressed hardwood floors, granite countertops throughout, Viking kitchen appliances, custom tile shower in the master, a bar, large screened-in porch, fenced-in backyard, epoxy garage floor, and much more.

The 14th annual Tour of Homes will feature four homes and is set for 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2. Tickets are $12 apiece and are available at Hy-Vee and First Bank & Trust in advance and at the Brookings High School Commons the day of the event.

New this year to the Tour of Homes will be the Bobcat Bistro, run by Brookings ProStart Capstone students. They will offer coffee and pastries in the BHS Commons starting at 12:30 p.m.

The Freshmen FCCLA Chapter will also provide childcare for children ages 2-10 during the tour, also at the high school commons. Childcare is open to anyone who has purchased a ticket for the tour, and the cost is a freewill offering. Children will have the opportunity to participate in activities such as crafts, games, and a holiday movie.
