Offutt Brass to present free concert in Brookings

OFFUTT AFB, Neb. – Offutt Brass, the brass ensemble from the United States Air Force Heartland of America Band, will perform a free, family-friendly entertaining and patriotic community concert from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at the South Dakota State University Performing Arts Center in Brookings.

Tickets are now available and can be picked up at The Brookings Register front office or at the Hy-Vee customer service counter.

This performance is in conjunction with the South Dakota Bandmasters Conference and sponsored by the SDSU School of Performing Arts.  

The six-member group, stationed at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, is comprised of two trumpets, French horn, trombone, tuba and percussion.  

With a program that features a wide musical variety of classical, jazz, popular marches, and patriotic favorites, Offutt Brass showcases the Air Force’s excellence, precision and innovation in every performance. These talented musicians proudly represent the more than 660,000 Air Force professionals around the world who relentlessly protect and defend the freedoms we cherish.
