BROOKINGS – Harrisburg’s Reese Jansa earned medalist honors and Sioux Falls O’Gorman took the team title in the Brookings Invitational on Thursday at the BCC.
Jansa made six birdies and carded a 1-over-par 73.
Aberdeen Central’s Cassidy Gough was runner-up following a 74.
The Lady Knights posted a team score of 315. The Golden Eagles and Sioux Falls Roosevelt tied for second at 335.
The Bobcats (393) ended up 12th.
OG’s Shannon McCormick and Jenna Sutcliffe tied for third at 76. Yankton’s Peyton Tramp (78) and Watertown’s Megan Dockter (79) were fifth and sixth, respectively.
Rounding out O’Gorman’s team tally, Sophie Jansa (80) tied for seventh and Carly Kunkel (83) tied for 12th.
Nicole Steen paced Brookings with a 90, putting her in a tie for 30th.
Ashton Austreim (98) tied for 49th and Janaya Kuehl and Morgan Herold tied for 57th at 102 to complete the team score.
Also for Brookings, Delilah Fuls (103) tied for 59th and Paige Mahlke (116) took 66th.
The Watertown Invitational is Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Cattail Crossing.
