ST. LOUIS – South Dakota State center Jacob Ohnesorge has been named Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week for his efforts in the Jackrabbits' Beef Bowl win over Drake on Sept. 16.
A senior from Waunakee, Wisc., Ohnesorge graded out at 98 percent with nine knockdown blocks in three quarters of play in the Jackrabbits' 51-10 victory. He did not allow any quarterback pressures or sacks in making his 42nd consecutive start.
As a team, SDSU scored on every one of its possessions in the first half to build a 41-3 lead in improving to 3-0 on the season.
The fourth-ranked Jackrabbits will have their lone bye week of the regular season before opening league play Sept. 30 at fifth-ranked Youngstown State.
