BROOKINGS – Demolition of the Brookings Dairy Queen began Thursday but did not go as planned after an excavator tipped into the building’s basement by early afternoon.
Dakota Service was onsite to pull it out, and no injuries were reported. Plans are to open a new Dairy Queen Grill & Chill restaurant on the same spot this December.
The restaurant has been closed since Tuesday.
