BROOKINGS – A female allegedly became disorderly when business employees questioned the identifications of her and another female over the weekend, according to Brookings Police.

The incident was reported at 1:44 a.m. Sunday and occurred in the 300 block of Main Avenue, Lt. Marci Gebers said.

“Upon arrival, officers learned that there were two females who were attempting to enter the business,” Gebers said.

“When they were questioned about some identification that they presented, they became disorderly and one of the females struck two of the employees. And then the two individuals left,” she said.

“Officers were able to … locate and identify the female who assaulted the two employees and charges are pending on this one for simple assault,” Gebers said.

No medical attention was required for the employees, she added.
