Pistol stolen from pickup at home

WHITE – A pistol was reported stolen, according to the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.

The theft was reported at 3:11 p.m. Monday from the 100 block of West Fourth Street in White, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring said.

A resident from White said their black Ruger SR22 .22 caliber pistol had a stainless steel slide. The pistol went missing between the months of May or June.

“The owner thought he might have misplaced it and has been looking for it but is unable to find it. He now believes it was stolen from his vehicle that was parked at his residence,” Sebring said.
