BROOKINGS – Brookings Police are investigating after a person was found dead early this morning, Assistant Chief Derrick Powers said.
An unresponsive male was reported in a parking lot in the 3000 block of LeFevre Drive shortly before 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, he said. Brookings Ambulance also responded.
“Upon arrival, it was found that the male was deceased,” Powers said.
“At this point, we’re investigating the death … but we don’t believe that there’s a danger to the public,” Powers said.
