Friday, Jan. 1
12:15 a.m. Officers responded to the 200 block of 14th Avenue due to a report of a juvenile female acting erratically. She was transported to the Brookings County Emergency Room for further evaluation.
12:25 a.m. Simple assault
12:37 a.m. Officer Pollman conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of Third Avenue. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
1:19 a.m. Brookings Police responded to the 700 block of Fourth Street for a subject attempting to break into the reporting party’s home. Officers arrived and arrested one subject. A report was generated.
7:24 p.m. A vehicle was stolen from a business in the 700 block of Main Avenue South. The vehicle was recovered in the 500 block of Sixth Avenue South. A report has been generated.
Saturday, Jan. 2
2:13 a.m. Officer Pollman conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of Eighth Street for a moving violation. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.
9:02 a.m. Brookings Police took a report of vandalism that occurred on the 1800 block of 12th Street South. A report was filed, and the incident remains under investigation.
9:58 a.m. The Brookings Police Department responded to a disturbance. A report was filed.
Sunday, Jan. 3
10:54 a.m. The Brookings Police Department took a report of a noninjury motor vehicle accident regarding a parked vehicle in the 1300 block of Fourth Street. A report was filed.
11:05 a.m. Brookings Police were requested at the 1100 block of Squire Court for a juvenile incident. A report was filed.
4:10 p.m. The Brookings Police Department took a report of a hit-and-run in the Larson Ice Center parking lot. A report was filed.
8:14 p.m. Officers responded to 400 block of Third Avenue South for a car crash. A female was arrested for DUI and reckless driving.
Monday, Jan. 4
2:50 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 400 block of Main Avenue. The driver of the vehicle had no license and no insurance. The driver was cited, and the vehicle was towed.
10:02 a.m. The Brookings Police Department took a report of vandalism and theft to washing machines in the 100 block of Third Avenue South. A report was filed.
12:38 p.m. Brookings Police responded to a minor accident. A report was filed.
4:28 p.m. Sgt. Sonnenburg was advised of lost medication in the 2200 block of Sixth Street. The incident was reported to have happened on Dec. 23. The incident was documented.
5:48 p.m. Officers responded to the 300 block of 22nd Avenue for a welfare concern. A report was generated.
