2 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Third Street. An investigation was performed, and one male was arrested on suspicion of DUI. A report was generated.
8:25 a.m. Brookings Police made contact with an individual in the 700 block Third Street South with active warrants. The individual was arrested for his warrants and transported to the jail facility. A report was generated.
11:15 a.m. The Brookings Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle accident in the parking lot in the 400 block of Third Avenue.
1 p.m. Threatening or harassing contacts by telephone or electronic device
Friday, Jan. 15
2:30 a.m. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on 22nd Avenue near Third Street. The vehicle led officers on a short pursuit, and the driver was later apprehended without incident. The driver was arrested for stolen vehicle, drug charges and additional traffic violations. A report was generated.
3:02 a.m. An officer with the Brookings Police Department responded to the 1300 block of 34th Avenue to conduct a welfare check. One male was later transported to the Brookings Emergency Department for further evaluation.
7:05 p.m. Law enforcement conducted a traffic stop. During the stop one male driver was arrested for obstruction.
Saturday, Jan. 16
2:34 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Sixth Street and Fifth Avenue for an intoxicated male subject that was passed out in the snow. Officers arrived and determined the subject was underage and had a fake ID.
6:53 p.m. Officers responded to 3034 Lefevre Drive for a welfare check. An individual was taken into custody and the incident is currently under investigation.
10:29 p.m. Officers responded to a report of an assault. A report was taken.
Sunday, Jan. 17
2:22 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Third Street and Fifth Avenue. An individual was arrested, and the incident is under investigation.
2:24 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 2200 block of 10th Street. An investigation was performed, and one male was arrested for DUI. A report was generated.
3:09 p.m. Unattended death
Monday, Jan. 18
5:59 p.m. Officers responded to the 2100 block of 22nd Avenue South to a report of an assault that occurred on Sunday. A report was taken.
8:43 p.m. Law enforcement investigated two-vehicle accident.
