10:29 a.m. The Brookings Police Department received information regarding a convicted felon possibly possessing firearms. An investigation is ongoing.
12:07 p.m. Officers took a theft report that occurred in the 800 block of Goldenrod Trail. An investigation is ongoing.
7:02 p.m. Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a trespassing violation. One juvenile male was detained and later released. A report was filed.
Saturday, Feb. 1
12:19 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of Medary Avenue.
1:05 a.m. Officer Pollman conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Main Avenue South for an improper turn. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs and other charges.
2:02 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Fifth Avenue. After an investigation, the male driver was arrested for DUI-first offense.
3:35 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Sixth Street. A DUI investigation was performed, and one male was arrested. A report was filed.
