Thursday, March 19
1:38 a.m. Dispatch notified Brookings Police officers of a domestic assault in the 700 block of Eighth Street South. A male was arrested for simple assault domestic, interference with emergency communication, and two active felony warrants.
8:27 a.m. Brookings Police were notified of vandalism that occurred near Sixth Street and First Avenue. A report was filed, and the incident remains under investigation.
3:55 p.m. Brookings Police were contacted in regard to a possible protection order violation. A report was filed.
9:54 p.m. A vehicle was stopped in the 500 block of 22nd Avenue South for excessive speed. The driver was cited for speed and having a suspended license.
Friday, March 20
8:36 a.m. Brookings Police received a call about multiple mailboxes that were possibly vandalized. A report was filed.
10:41 a.m. The Brookings Police Department took a report of vandalism to a motor vehicle in the 400 block of 12th Street South. A report was filed.
9:54 p.m. Officers took a forgery report. It is currently under investigation.
Saturday, March 21
6:08 p.m. Brookings Police Department responded to the 100 block of Trail Ridge Road for a vandalism report.
