Wednesday, April 3

7:34 a.m. Officer Doremus was requested to assist the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office with a driver suspected of being impaired by an intoxicating substance other than alcohol. A DRE evaluation was conducted.

9 a.m. Officers responded to the 1900 block of 12th Street Soiuth for a report of a theft. A report was filed.

9:32 a.m. Officers responded to the 400 block of Sixth Avenue South to a report of an individual who stripped their clothes off and was walking in the roadway. The individual was located and arrested for disorderly conduct.

9:25 p.m. Officer Kreutner responded to 2233 Sixth St. for a report of theft.

Thursday, April 4

8:27 a.m. The school resource officer was notified of a student reporting a sexual assault. An investigation was made, and a male individual was later arrested for multiple charges. A report has been filed.

12:02 p.m. Non-injury accident 

12:11 p.m. An individual contacted the police department to report a fraud. The investigation is ongoing.

1:32 p.m. Officers responded to 821 Fifth St. S. No. 3 for a report of a slashed tire and blood left at the scene. Samples of the blood were collected.
