Tuesday, March 23
12:35 a.m. Officers took a report of a civil matter. An individual was cited for hit-and-run and driving while suspended.
1:49 a.m. Law enforcement arrested a male driver for DUI.
11:55 a.m. Officer Larsen responded to an agency assist call in regard to a welfare check on a possible missing person out of Sioux Falls. The incident is currently under investigation.
11:58 a.m. Officers made a warrant arrest.
Wednesday, March 24
9:42 a.m. Dispatch notified Officer Doremus of a two-vehicle non-injury accident at the intersection of Seventh Avenue and Eighth Street.
9:51 a.m. Hit-and-run accident
11:30 a.m. Speeding, 11-15 mph over; expired license plates; fail to maintain financial responsibility; driving while suspended
7:04 p.m. Officers responded to the urgent care unit in report of a dog bite.
7:35 p.m. The Brookings Police Department was dispatched to the 1000 block of Sixth Avenue for a report of a domestic assault. An investigation was completed, and one female was arrested. A report has been generated.
Thursday, March 25
1:57 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of Sixth Street. Further investigation led to a DUI arrest.
2:14 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Sixth Street. An investigation was performed, and one male was arrested on suspicion of DUI. A report was generated.
Friday, March 26
3:24 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 2000 block of Sixth Street. Consent to search the vehicle was granted, and an illegal drug item was located. One male was arrested. A report was generated.
11:43 a.m. The Brookings Police Department took a report of a theft from the 100 block of Sixth Street West. It was determined that a backpack with a laptop was taken from the area.
11:45 a.m. A citizen of Brookings filed a report of a hit-and-run vehicle crash. A report has been generated.
Saturday, March 27
9 p.m. Possession or use of drug paraphernalia
9:58 p.m. Brookings Police conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation at Sixth Street and 22nd Avenue. The driver was cited for license and insurance violations. The vehicle was towed, and a report was filed.
