10:55 a.m. Brookings Police stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver was arrested for DUI.

1:45 p.m. Simple assault domestic; suicide threats

Monday, April 12

12:49 a.m. Brookings Police made contact with a suspicious vehicle located on the 1700 block of 32nd Street South. An investigation was conducted, a citation was issued for drug paraphernalia, and a report was filed.

12:40 p.m. Brookings Police stopped a vehicle for a lane usage violation. Indicators of criminal activity were observed, and a K9 was ultimately contacted. Drug items were located inside the vehicle.

3:12 p.m. Brookings Police responded to the 400 block of Fourth Street for a report of vandalism. A report was generated.

4:35 p.m. Community Service Officer Beaner responded to a report of a dog bite that occurred at 610 12th St. S.

Tuesday, April 13

8:02 p.m. Brookings Police investigated a sexual assault in the 300 block of 22nd Avenue.

Wednesday, April 14

7:54 a.m. A traffic stop was conducted in the 2000 block of Third Street. Subsequently, the driver was issued a court summons for failure to maintain financial responsibility and driving while suspended.

6:55 p.m. Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated individual in front of a local business in the 400 block of Main Avenue. An arrest was made for criminal trespass after notice.

Thursday, April 15

2 a.m. Open container, broken seal in motor vehicle; DUI-first offense

11:15 a.m. School Resource Officer Warkenthien was notified of a possible threat in the 1800 block of 12th Street South. An investigation was made, and a suspect was identified. An investigation is ongoing at this time.
