Monday, May 6

10:52 a.m. An individual came to the Brookings Police Department to report a theft. A report  was taken, the incident is under investigation.

11:38 a.m. Officer Pollman took a report of a two-vehicle, non-injury accident in the 1000 block of Circle Drive.

3:07 p.m. The Brookings Police Department received a 911 phone call from an individual who just had his vehicle tires slashed with a knife. Officers responded and arrested the male suspect for disorderly conduct.

3:37 p.m. Theft by no account check

5:50 p.m. Officer Franklin responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury accident in the 400 block of Third Ave.

Tuesday, May 7

8:42 a.m. Officers responded to the 100 block of Trail Ridge Road for a report of an aggravated assault. It was found a male had been beaten with several objects before being able to contact law enforcement. The suspect, a 33-year-old Brookings male, was taken into custody at the residence.

8:49 a.m. School Resource Officer Schneider responded to the 400 block of 17th Avenue South for a report of a stolen mailbox. The mailbox was found and returned to the owner.

12:15 p.m. Officers took a report of a stolen dog. A report was filed.

6:19 p.m. Sgt. Sonnenburg responded to the 2700 block of Wood Duck Trail for a report of single vehicle accident. A state accident report was completed.

Wednesday, May 8

1:10 a.m. Officer Kreutner took a report of a petty theft. A report was generated.

10:08 a.m. Officer Page took a report of harassment at McDonald’s in Brookings. A report has been filed.

2:47 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Main Avenue for a report of a stolen computer from an apartment.

3:01 p.m. Officer Page took a report over the phone of a fire hydrant that had been damaged at the corner of Eighth Street and 32nd Avenue.
