Saturday, May 9
12 p.m. Brookings Police took a report of a hit-and-run that occurred in the 800 block of 25th Avenue. A report was filed, and the incident is under investigation.
7:27 p.m. Law enforcement investigated a hit-and-run accident. Suspect is unknown with approximate damage of $50.
Sunday, May 10
12:45 a.m. Brookings Police stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. Drug items were located inside the vehicle. A report was filed.
2:46 a.m. Officers were requested to the 1000 block of Third Avenue for a report of trespass. A report was generated.
6:32 a.m. Officers were notified of theft at 1407 Orchard Drive. It was discovered an assault occurred, and money and a debit card were stolen.
7:48 a.m. Officers responded to the area of 17th Avenue South and Elmwood Drive for a three-vehicle accident. The driver was arrested for DUI.
7:48 a.m. Officers responded to a non-injury crash in the 300 block of 17th Avenue South. A report was taken.
Monday, May 11
7:26 a.m. Brookings Police officers responded to a report of suspected burglary that occurred in the 400 block of Front Street.
12:06 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Sixth Street and Seventh Avenue to a non-injury crash. A report was taken.
1:14 p.m. Brookings Police assisted the South Dakota Highway Patrol with a traffic stop.
4:27 p.m. Officers received a report of harassment in the 500 block of 12th Street South. A report was taken.
6:17 p.m. Brookings Police responded to a minor accident. A report was filed.
Tuesday, May 12
2:56 a.m. Law enforcement investigated a domestic violence call. After completing the Investigation, one male was arrested for simple assault domestic and violation of a protection order.
9:17 a.m. Officer Schneider received a report of a juvenile incident from a student who goes to Brookings High School.
11:43 a.m. Officers assisted the SDHP with a traffic stop. One male was subsequently arrested for drug-related charges.
Wednesday, May 13
9:25 a.m. Officers responded to the 500 block of 12th Street South for a dispute. An investigation was performed, and a report was filed.
