Sunday, May 26

1:06 a.m. Law enforcement conducted a traffic stop. During the traffic stop, a DUI investigation was conducted. Driver was arrested for DUI.

12:31 p.m. Officers obtained information of the location of a male who had a felony warrant out of Brookings County. The male was taken into custody, and a report was filed.

1:10 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of 15th Street South for a domestic disturbance in the hallway of an apartment. An arrest was made.

3:09 p.m. Officers were requested to the 900 block of 22nd Avenue South for a hit-and-run accident. A report was filed, and the investigation is ongoing.

7:19 p.m. Officer Page responded to 1203 Main Ave. S. for a juvenile who was hit by a vehicle while on his bike. The vehicle drove away from the scene. The juvenile received a bruise on the back of his right calf.

8 p.m. Law enforcement responded to McDonald’s for a civil issue. After arriving it was determined a domestic assault happened on May 20. One male was arrested for the assault.

9:05 p.m. Simple assault; obstructing officer, jailer, firefighter

9:37 p.m. Death/coroner

10:15 p.m. Officers responded to the parking lot of 790 22nd Ave. S. for a report of two individuals fighting. No charges wanted to be pressed. One individual was arrested for a bench warrant.

Monday, May 27

2:11 a.m. Law enforcement conducted a traffic stop. During the traffic stop, a DUI investigation was completed. The driver was arrested for DUI-first offense.

1:25 p.m. Officer Jurrens stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of 12th Street South for speeding. The driver was cited for no insurance and driving suspended.

6:41 p.m. DUI; threaten law enforcement officer or family; obstructing officer, jailer, firefighter; resisting arrest
