Tuesday, May 18

1:50 a.m. Brookings Police were notified about a suspicious male knocking on doors requesting an ambulance. Drugs were located on the male’s person.

9:19 p.m. Officer Larsen took a report of a possible domestic assault and probation violation. The incident is under investigation.

Wednesday, May 19

2:10 a.m. Brookings Police stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver was arrested for DUI.

8:20 a.m. Officers were dispatched to intersection of Thunder Pass and Thunder Lane for a report of vandalism.

4:28 p.m. Officers took a report of lost property. A report was filed.

7:49 p.m. Brookings Police stopped a vehicle for illegal window tint. The passenger was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Thursday, May 20

3:11 a.m. Dispatch notified Officer Doremus of a male at the intersection of 32nd Street South and Main Avenue South attempting to wave down cars for help. The male was located and transported to the Brookings hospital for a mental health evaluation.

3:14 p.m. The Brookings Police Department took a report of theft from the 2100 block of Foxrun Trail. A report was filed and is being investigated.

Friday, May 21

6:07 a.m. Officers took a report of simple assault in the 2200 block of 22nd Avenue South.

4:53 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a non-injury accident. A report was filed.

6:14 p.m. Dispatch notified Officer Doremus of a two-vehicle, non-injury accident in the 200 block of Eighth Avenue.

8:39 p.m. Brookings Police responded to the 100 block of Ninth Street for a report of a domestic assault. Officers arrived and determined a crime occured. Charges are pending against a known suspect. A report was generated.

Saturday, May 22

12:51 a.m. DUI-second offense

1:25 a.m. The Brookings Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Sixth Avenue South for a turn violation. During the traffic stop, the driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

9:18 a.m. A female called to report her bikes were stolen. A report was filed.

3:32 p.m. Possession of marijuana, 2 ounces or less; grand theft, over $1,000; underage possession of tobacco
