Sunday, May 23
1:58 a.m. The Brookings Police Department conducted a traffic stop near the 800 block of Second Street. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for DUI.
2:03 a.m. Brookings Police stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. Drug items were located inside the vehicle.
2:10 a.m. Officers and the ambulance responded to a two-vehicle crash just south of the intersection of 20th Street South and Main Avenue. No major injuries were reported. One of the drivers was arrested for DUI.
7:11 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the corner of Second Avenue and Sixth Street to a welfare concern of two juveniles. The children were returned home, and a report was generated.
Monday, May 24
3:05 a.m. Brookings Police responded to a hit-and-run accident involving a light pole. A report was filed.
2:26 p.m. A Brookings resident turned in a baggie containing a small amount of methamphetamine they found.
10:16 p.m. Officers were given information about drugs being used in front of an infant a couple days prior.
Tuesday, May 25
2:04 a.m. Brookings Police took a report of a runaway juvenile from the 2100 block of Primrose Drive. A state report was requested, and a report was generated.
Wednesday, May 26
3:49 p.m. Fraud
5:08 p.m. Officers received a report of sexual assault.
5:19 p.m. Officers responded to Sully’s Irish Pub for a report of assault. One male was arrested for assault.

11:20 a.m. Officers assisted the Highway Patrol with an incident.
