2:07 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of Wilson Avenue. One male was arrested on suspicion of DUI. A report was filed.

2:31 a.m. Officer Pollman conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Olwien Street and 16th Avenue for an equipment violation. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

Thursday, June 11

6:59 a.m. Brookings Police responded to a juvenile incident. A report was filed.

12:50 p.m. Informational report

2:33 p.m. Petty theft, less than $400

6:53 p.m. Officers took a report of a phone theft. A report was filed.

Friday, June 12

1:28 p.m. The Brookings Police Department took a report of a hit-and-run in the 2200 block of Sixth Street. A report was filed.

4:56 p.m. Unattended death

6:57 p.m. Threating or harassing contacts by telephone or other electronic device

Saturday, June 13

6:22 a.m. Brookings Police Department responded to the 300 block of 22nd Street for a report of domestic assault.

8:41 p.m. Officer Warkenthien took a report of suspicious activity in the 2200 block of 18th Street. A report has been filed for documentation.

Sunday, June 14

12:06 a.m. Officer Pollman conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding. During the investigation, illegal drugs were located in the vehicle, and the driver was arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol.

7:22 a.m. Brookings Police responded to the 1000 block of Orchard Drive in reference to vandalism.

9:37 a.m. Brookings Police responded to the 2400 block of Sunrise Ridge Road for a two-vehicle, non-injury accident. A state accident report was completed.

3:12 p.m. Officers collected a sexual assault evidence kit at the Brookings Hospital. A report was filed.

6:01 p.m. Officer Doremus was notified of a male requesting a welfare check. A welfare check was conducted, and all parties were found to be safe and in good health.
