Friday, June 19

8:30 a.m. The Brookings Police Department took a report of harassing phone calls.

1:03 p.m. Brookings Police responded to a motor vehicle accident.

1:38 p.m. Brookings Police stopped a vehicle for a city ordinance violation. The driver was cited for possessing drug paraphernalia.

3:05 p.m. Brookings Police responded to Walmart in regard to a theft.

4:40 p.m. Brookings Police responded to the 2200 block of Sixth Street for a crash report on private property.

10:39 p.m. Officer Pollman conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of 11th Avenue for a lane violation. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Saturday, June 20

2:43 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop near mile marker 132 on I-29. One male was subsequently arrested on suspicion of DUI. A report was filed.

Sunday, June 21

1:50 a.m. Officers arrested a male downtown for disorderly conduct.

3:53 a.m. Officers were called to the Brookings jail for a male who was not leaving the jail after he was being released. He later assaulted his brother and was arrested for domestic.

8:16 a.m. Brookings Police responded to the report of a domestic at the Super 8 motel. A report was filed.

2:01 p.m. Officer Weinrich was dispatched to the 1800 block of 12th Street South for a report of a family issue. A report was generated.

Monday, June 22

9:48 a.m. Brookings Police conducted a welfare check on an individual possibly living in a park. A report was filed.

9:57 a.m. Detective Smith assisted parole with the search of a cell phone.

2:27 p.m. The Brookings Police Department was informed of a protection order violation. After an investigation, one individual was taken into custody. A report was filed.

6:59 p.m. Officers responded to the 500 block of Eighth Street South for a report of trespass and intentional damage to property. Charges pending upon review from State’s Attorney’s Office.
