Monday, June 24

10:28 a.m. Officers received a report of someone possibly making threats to a co-worker about a third person.

10:58 a.m. Sgt. Sonnenburg received a report of a theft of items from a vehicle that was parked in the 2000 block of Larkspur Ridge Road. An investigation is pending.

2:05 p.m. Brookings Police stopped a vehicle for following too close. The driver and passenger were arrested for possession of a controlled substance. The driver was also charged with possession of a firearm while in the commission of a felony.

Tuesday, June 25

1:33 a.m. An officer assisted the Brookings County Sheriff’s Department on a traffic complaint. The driver was arrested for DUI.

2:06 a.m. Officer Pollman conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of Fifth Street South for a traffic violation. Three occupants of the vehicle were arrested for drug charges.

7:49 a.m. Officer Warkenthien took a report of multiple juveniles who broke into Mickelson Middle School. An investigation is ongoing.

12:52 p.m. Officers responded to the intersection of Sixth Street and 12th Avenue in reference to a two-vehicle, non-injury crash. A report was filed.

7:34 p.m. Possession or use of drug paraphernalia

Wednesday, June 26

2:59 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1200 block of 22nd Avenue South. One female was arrested for drug-related offenses. A report was filed.

7:48 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of 15th Street South for a possible domestic in progress. One male was arrested. A report was filed.

9:31 p.m. Non-injury accident

10:42 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a theft in progress in the 400 block of Third Street. The suspect was located in the 400 block of Sixth Street and taken into custody.
