2:08 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Ninth Avenue for a welfare check. One male was transported to the Brookings Hospital after making suicidal threats. A report was filed.

12:49 p.m. Officers met with an individual at the Brookings Police Department regarding the use or dissemination of visual recording without consent. A report was taken, and this incident is under investigation.

12:57 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1300 block of the Western diagonal. One female was arrested for marijuana-related charges.

1:28 p.m. Officers responded to the park next to Camelot School, for a report of three juvenile children under the age of 3 unattended for a period of time. The incident was documented.

Tuesday, July 30

8:56 a.m. Possession of a controlled drug or substance

10:49 a.m. Officers responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury crash that occurred in the 2000 block of Sixth Street. A report was generated.

12:11 p.m. An individual came to the Brookings Police Department to report identity theft. The matter is under investigation.

3:03 p.m. Officer Page took a report of a two-vehicle, non-injury accident at the intersection of Lincoln Lane South and Elmwood Drive.

3:50 p.m. A vehicle vandalism was reported to law enforcement.

Wednesday, July 31

2 a.m. Brookings police stopped a moped operating unsafely on the roadway. The driver was arrested for DUI.

7:24 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Sixth Street for a highly intoxicated man impeding the flow of traffic. The individual was located and found to be intoxicated with alcohol and drugs. The individual was arrested for multiple drug charges.

6:24 p.m. Officer McCaskill took a walk-in report of theft from the 1000 block of Main Avenue. The reporting party had a bicycle stolen in the past two days. The theft was documented.

Thursday, Aug. 1

10:56 a.m. Officers took a report of vehicle vandalism in the 2000 block of Derdall Drive. A report was filed.

3:48 p.m. Officers took a report of a protection order violation. A report was filed.
