Friday, Aug. 2

8:04 a.m. Officer Pollman assisted the Department of Correction with a parole violation. A parolee was arrested.

2:22 p.m. Officer Doremus took a report of a two-vehicle, non-injury crash in the 800 block of Main Avenue South.

2:49 p.m. Sex offender registration

Saturday, Aug. 3

2:09 a.m. Officer Larsen responded to the 1000 block of Seventh Street for a report of a vehicle that struck another vehicle in a parking lot. An investigation was performed, and a female was arrested for DUI.

10:51 a.m. Criminal entry of a motor vehicle

1:51 p.m. Officers responded to the 2200 block of Sixth Street for a hit-and-run. A report was taken.

2:20 p.m. Law enforcement made a traffic stop. During the stop, law enforcement found marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

8:10 p.m. Petty theft – less than $400

Sunday, Aug. 4

1:29 a.m. Brookings County deputies requested assistance from the Brookings Police and troopers from the Highway Patrol to a domestic assault in progress on the 200 block of East Highway 14 in Volga. One male was taken into custody for assault and transported by ambulance to the Brookings Hospital.

5:17 a.m. Officer Jurrens stopped a vehicle for driving down the center of the road. The passenger was cited for drug paraphernalia.

10:33 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Sixth Street. Marijuana and paraphernalia were located in the vehicle. Charges are pending.

11:43 a.m. One male was arrested for a parole violation in the 2100 block of Primrose.

10:55 p.m. Third-degree burglary – enter or remain in an unoccupied building to commit a crime

Monday, Aug. 5

10:17 a.m. Lost property

11:42 a.m. Officer Page spoke with a reporting party about a juvenile incident. A report was generated.

1:18 p.m. Accident (hit-and-run); failure to report an accident immediately; leaving accident scene – failure to provide information

4:26 p.m. Hit-and-run misdemeanor

9:04 p.m. Officer Jurrens received a phone call about a female on Facebook who was trying to defend a criminal act.
