12:06 p.m. Following too close

Wednesday, Aug. 7

5:58 a.m. Officers responded to the 300 block of Seventh Avenue in response to an individual with an active arrest warrant. The warrant was served, and one arrest was made.

2:42 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Brooklawn Drive for an aggravated assault in progress. An investigation is being conducted.

Thursday, Aug. 8

1:29 p.m. Officers responded to the 300 block of Fourth Street for a report of an accident with no injuries. A report was filed.

7:07 p.m. Brookings Police stopped a vehicle for a minor traffic violation. During the stop, several drug items were located. Both occupants in the vehicle were taken into custody.

Friday, Aug. 9

8:55 a.m. Officers responded to the report of a suspicious individual in the 2200 block of Sixth Street. The individual was later located and taken into protective custody.

1:26 p.m. Officers responded to a two-vehicle, minor accident that occurred in the 1400 block of Pheasants Run Drive. No injuries were reported.

6:58 p.m. Officers conducted a victim notification in the 300 block of Medary Avenue South. An investigation was made, which lead to an arrest. A report was filed.
