Monday, Aug. 30

7:11 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a theft at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Sixth Street. A report was filed, and the incident is under investigation.

7:34 a.m. Officers responded to the 900 block of Arrowhead Pass for an unattended death.

12:39 p.m. Brookings Police were notified that an individual with felony warrants was leaving Ray’s Corner. One male was arrested.

Tuesday, Aug. 31

8:43 a.m. The Brookings Police Department was dispatched to the 100 block of 12th Avenue South for a toddler playing on the railroad tracks. The toddler was unsupervised. The Department of Social Services was contacted, and a report has been generated.

10:35 a.m. Officers responded to the 500 block of 12th Street South for the report of a domestic assault. One individual was taken into custody.

11:53 a.m. Officer Page took a report of a minor two-vehicle accident that occurred in the 700 block of 22nd Avenue South.

12:04 p.m. The Brookings Police Department responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury accident in the 1200 block of Seventh Street. A city accident report was completed.

3:40 p.m. The Brookings Police Department conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Yorktown Drive and Christine Avenue. The driver was arrested for altering the vehicle’s seller’s permit and driving while suspended.

6:45 p.m. Officers took a report of a stolen vehicle that occurred in Denver, Colorado.

Wednesday, Sept. 1

3:47 a.m. Officers took a report of a possible burglary in the 1800 block of Eighth Street. The reporting party did not want to pursue charges, and a no-trespass order was given.
