Friday, Sept. 6

12:50 a.m. Brookings Police conducted a traffic stop on the 2200 block of Sixth Street. An investigation was conducted, and the driver was arrested for DUI.

1:54 a.m. Officer Jurrens discovered a missing stop sign from the intersection of Sixth Avenue and Eighth Street.

7:50 a.m. Officers and Brookings Ambulance responded to the 300 block of 15th Avenue for a medical call. A report was generated.

10:59 a.m. Law enforcement conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, law enforcement noticed the odor of burnt marijuana. The driver was detained and transported to the Brookings County Detention Center for a UA per probation.

12:13 p.m. Law enforcement took a report of a possible protection order violation.

3:06 p.m. Officers took a report of intentional damage to property at 2432 Main Ave S.

10:41 p.m. Officers working a DUI checkpoint arrested a female for DUI.

Saturday, Sept. 7

1:27 a.m. Brookings Police stopped a vehicle for a moving violation. The driver was arrested for DUI.

1:24 p.m. Hit-and-run property damage

1:47 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Sixth Avenue for a welfare check. A report was filed.

Sunday, Sept. 8

2:06 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1700 block of 12th Street South. One male was arrested for DUI.

2:11 a.m. Officers witnessed a male trespass into another vehicle in the 300 block of Main Avenue. The male was later arrested.

3:40 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Eighth Street West. One female was arrested on drug-related charges.

9:04 a.m. Brookings Police stopped a vehicle for a window tint violation. The passenger was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

9:39 a.m. Officers received a report of an assault that occurred in the early morning hours. A report was filed.

12:52 p.m. Brookings Police investigated a crash involving three vehicles in the 200 block of Medary Avenue.

2:30 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Medary Avenue South for a domestic. A report was filed
