Tuesday, Sept. 8

1:49 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Sixth Street. An investigation was performed, and one male was arrested on suspicion of DUI. A report was generated.

10:23 a.m. Officer Weinrich was dispatched to the intersection of Sixth Street and the 132 off-ramp for a report of a two-vehicle, non-injury accident. A state accident report was generated.

12:01 p.m. Sgt. Sonnenburg received a report of possible fraud from the 500 block of East Wye Mesa. The incident was documented.

4:44 p.m. Brookings Police took a report of assault that occurred on the 1000 block of Western Avenue on Sept. 6. The incident remains under investigation.

7:22 p.m. Officers took a report of shoplifting at Walmart. A report was generated.

Wednesday, Sept. 9

9:30 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Sunrise Ridge Road for a burglary. The incident is under investigation.

Thursday, Sept. 10

8:23 a.m. Officers were dispatched to Lions Park for a report of vandalism. A report was filed.

9:19 a.m. The Brookings Police Department received information that a male possibly committed perjury on an official court document. It was determined no crime was committed.

11:51 a.m. Brookings Police received a report of lost property.

12:40 p.m. Brookings Police took a report of credit card fraud. A report was generated.

Friday, Sept. 11

1:38 a.m. Officer Britt conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of Fourth Street for a speeding violation. Subsequently, the driver was placed under arrest for driving under the influence.

10:30 a.m. Officers responded to the 1000 block of Steamboat Trail in reference to vandalism of construction equipment and theft of parts. An investigation is ongoing.

8:20 p.m. Officers took a report of a protection order violation.
