Friday, Sept. 14

12:45 a.m. An officer made contact with an individual at a residence in the 700 block of Ninth Avenue. It was discovered the individual was consuming alcohol while underage. A review of charges for the tenants of the residence are pending.

2:40 p.m. Underage purchase or possession of alcoholic beverages; possession of fictitious license; unlicensed or obstructed plates; illegal window tint

9:34 p.m. Officers responded to the 800 block of Fifth Street South for a report of an assault. One individual was arrested.

Saturday, Sept. 15

2:24 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of Fifth Avenue for failure to dim. The driver was arrested for DUI.

2:51 a.m. Officers were dispatched to a disorderly individual in an apartment complex. The individual was taken into custody.

12:02 p.m. The Brookings Police Department responded to the 700 block of 22nd Avenue South for a private parking lot crash.

4:58 p.m. Possession of marijuana, 2 ounces or less; possession or use of drug paraphernalia; lane driving required – changing lanes

Sunday, Sept. 16

12:14 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of LeFevre Drive in response to a report of a threat. A report was taken.

2:06 a.m. A 17-year-old Brookings male was stopped for an equipment violation. He was later cited for driving suspended, and felony drug charges are pending.

12:13 p.m. Officer Pollman took a report of simple assault that occurred Sept. 15 in the 800 block of 32nd Avenue.

12:51 p.m. Officer McCaskill was requested to the 700 block of Eighth Avenue for the report of a stolen motor vehicle. There is no suspect at this time. A state case was completed for a stolen motor vehicle.

3:04 p.m. Officers received a complaint in regard to a stolen flag.

3:56 p.m. Officer Pollman was dispatched to the 1300 block of Sixth Street for drugs found next to the sidewalk.

Monday, Sept. 17

8:08 a.m. Hit-and-run accident

9:11 a.m. An officer responded to a report of someone refusing to leave a residence in the 800 block of Fifth Street South. After a short investigation, one individual was arrested for domestic violence.

2:56 p.m. The Brookings Police Department responded to a hit-and-run report in the 100 block of Sunrise Ridge Road. The accident occurred in a parking lot. A report was filed.

7:08 p.m. Officers took one individual into custody for a warrant.

8:53 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Second Avenue South for a report of a missing juvenile. The juvenile later returned home.

Tuesday, Sept. 18

8:19 a.m. Stop from driveway before entering roadway; petty theft, less than $400; driving without valid license or permit

3:36 p.m. Officers were dispatched to a vehicle that had items stolen while it was parked in the garage.

6:54 p.m. Officers responded to Remington Road for a report of intentional damage.

9:11 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1200 block of Sixth Street. The passenger was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

9:17 p.m. A traffic stop was conducted in the 1500 block of Main Avenue South. As a result of the stop, the driver was investigated for DUI. At the conclusion of the investigation, the driver was placed under arrest for DUI.
