6:25 a.m. Shoplifting, first-degree petty theft, $400-$1,000

7:42 a.m. Brookings Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of Orchard Drive for a minor crash. A report was filed.

7:46 a.m. Officer Schneider responded to the intersection of Main Avenue South and Second Street South for bicycle vs. automobile accident. A state accident report was taken.

10:31 a.m. Officer Engstrom took a report of vandalism in the 500 block of First Avenue. A report was filed.

2:36 p.m. Officer Franklin took a single-vehicle, non-injury accident in 100 block of Sixth Avenue S.

5:43 p.m. Officers responded to the 500 block of Medary Avenue South for a domestic disturbance. One male was arrested. A report was filed.

7:38 p.m. Officers were informed of suspicious activity that took place in the 1400 block of 15th Street South earlier in the day. The incident is under investigation.

7:50 p.m. An altercation was reported in the movie theater parking lot.

Tuesday, Sept. 24

5:57 a.m. Brookings Police were dispatched to the intersection of Eighth Street South and Medary Avenue for the report of an individual walking in the middle of the street. The individual is facing charges and was transported to the Brookings ER.

8:57 a.m. Sgt. Sonnenburg was dispatched to the 2100 block of 22nd Avenue South for a report of a possible theft. An investigation is pending.

9:36 a.m. Officer Engstrom responded to a report of a hit-and-run in the 900 block of Fourth Street. A report was filed.

9:57 a.m. Officers and Brookings Ambulance responded to the 1300 block of Third Street for an individual having a medical condition while driving. The individual was transported to the Brookings Emergency Room. A report was filed.

3:59 p.m. Officer Jurrens stopped a vehicle in the 500 blk of Fifth Avenue South. The driver was arrested and charged with driving revoked, altered license plates, and no insurance.
