12:27 p.m. A theft was reported to law enforcement.

3:39 p.m. Officers responded to an accident report in the 500 block of Elm Avenue. A report was filed.

Wednesday, Sept. 26

1:28 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Third Street in response to a report of disorderly conduct. A report was taken.

8:02 a.m. Officer Larsen responded to the 1500 block of 22nd Street South for a non-injury crash. A state crash report was filed.

9:37 a.m. The Brookings Police Department assisted the Division of Criminal Investigation with a search warrant in the 300 block of Ninth Avenue. A report was filed.

10:45 a.m. Officer Larsen took a report of vandalism in the 500 block of Third street. A report was filed.

12:23 p.m. Officer Larsen took a report of a hit-and-run crash in the 2200 block of Sixth Street. A city crash report was filed, and an investigation is ongoing.

Thursday, Sept. 27

9:45 a.m. Officer Popp took a report of vandalism in the 200 block of West Eighth Street. The rear passenger-side window on a vehicle was broken out of the vehicle. Nothing was found to be taken from inside. A report was filed.

10:20 a.m. Petty theft, less than $400

10:33 a.m. Officer Warkenthien took a report of statements of how a child was being treated at home. An investigation was made, and a report has been filed.

11:55 a.m. Officer Weinrich conducted a welfare check in the 1100 block of Pactola Drive. A report was generated.

1:39 p.m. Disturbance of school 

4:09 p.m. Intentional damage to property, $400 or less

Friday, Sept. 28

9:05 a.m. Officer Pollman conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of 22nd Avenue for a speeding violation. The driver of the vehicle was driving while revoked.

11:46 a.m. Officer Popp took a report of harassment in the 700 block of Brooklawn Drive. A report was filed.

1:08 p.m. Officer Jurrens took a report about some damage to a windshield which appeared to be caused by a BB or pellet gun.

1:20 p.m. An officer responded to the 3000 block of LeFevre Drive due to a report of a theft. The investigation is ongoing.

3:44 p.m. Officer Popp stopped a vehicle from a traffic complaint. The driver had been identified as driving revoked. The driver was arrested and transported to the Brookings County Detention Center. A report was filed.

8:07 p.m. Suicide threats

Saturday, Sept. 29

9:53 a.m. Speeding, 1-5 mph over; possession of marijuana, 2 ounces or less; driving while suspended

11:08 a.m. Officer Larsen responded to the 200 block of 12th Avenue for a non-injury crash where a vehicle struck a tree. A state crash report was filed.

Sunday, Sept. 30

12:20 p.m. Non-injury accident

1:13 p.m. Officer Bonnema witnessed a non-injury accident occur between two vehicles on Interstate 29. A state accident form was completed.

5:59 p.m. Officer Asmus was dispatched to the 300 block of Medary Avenue South for an altercation. An investigation was conducted, and one person was arrested on outstanding warrants.
