10:16 a.m. School Resource Officer Schneider was notified of a high school student who was threatening to harm themselves in class. An investigation was made and a report was generated.

11:53 a.m. The Brookings Police Department received information regarding a Brookings female who had prior knowledge of a felony that was committed, assisted with concealing that felony, and is a felon in possession of a police scanner.

3:23 p.m. Officers responded to a two-vehicle accident at the 500 block of Medary Avenue. A report was filed.

3:26 p.m. Window peeking; use or dissemination of visual recording or photographic device without consent and with intent to self-gratify, harass or embarrass

7:41 p.m. Officer Kreutner responded to the 2200 block of Sixth Street for a report of theft.

7:59 p.m. Officer Kreutner responded to 2233 Sixth St. for a report of theft.

Friday, Oct. 5

12:46 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Sixth Street to a report of an individual trespassing. The individual was taken to the hospital. A report was taken.

1:56 a.m. Officers made contact with a male driver suspected of being under the influence of alcohol. An investigation was made, and the driver arrested for DUI-first offense.

2:37 a.m. Officer Kreutner responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury accident in the 100 block of Seventh Street West.

8:38 a.m. Officer Larsen responded to the 800 block of Fifth Street South for a report of a vandalized vehicle. A report was filed.

12:30 p.m. A local gas station reported a vehicle that has done gas drive-offs at multiple locations in Brookings.

2:06 p.m. Officer McCaskill was requested to the Hy-Vee parking lot for a non-injury accident. A city accident report was completed as a courtesy.

3:25 p.m. Officers responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 500 block of Eighth Street. A report was filed.

4:46 p.m. Officer Bonnema stopped a vehicle for traffic violations. Drug paraphernalia was located in the vehicle.
