6:45 a.m. Law enforcement took a report of vandalism to an apartment window.

8:18 a.m. An officer took a report of a private property damage accident in the 2500 block of Sixth Street. A report was filed.

8:32 a.m. Brookings Police received a report of theft from the 700 block of 13th Street West. A report was filed.

11 a.m. Officers responded to the area of the 300 block of 20th Avenue for neighbor dispute.

Wednesday, Oct. 6

7:42 a.m. Officers responded to the intersection of 12th Street South and Main Avenue South in report of a semi-truck and trailer that struck a stop light post and knocked it down.

7:49 a.m. Brookings Police responded to a non-injury crash at the southbound off-ramp from Interstate 29 and Sixth Street.

11:33 a.m. School Resource Officer Warkenthien took a report of threats made towards another person. An investigation was made, and charges are pending. A report has been filed.

12:22 p.m. Brookings Police responded to a non-injury crash report in the 600 block of Medary Avenue.

1:58 p.m. A minor hit-and-run accident was reported at the Brookings High School parking lot. A report was made and filed.

2:18 p.m. Officer Hart responded to the 300 block of Sixth Street for a report of a theft from a business. Evidence was collected at the scene, and the investigation is ongoing at this time.

3:51 p.m. Officers received a phone call from a female who alleged that her fiancé assaulted her two days ago. Officers interviewed the other male party, and it was determined that a report be filed and sent to the State’s Attorney’s Office for review.

10:44 p.m. The Brookings Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 2100 block of Minnesota Drive for driving without headlights. During the investigation, the driver was arrested for driving under the influence, and the passenger was arrested for false impersonation and warrants.

Thursday, Oct. 7

1:53 a.m. The Brookings Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of Western Avenue for a moving violation. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for driving under the influence.

3:23 a.m. Dispatch notified the Brookings Ambulance of a male having a seizure in the 500 block of 12th Street South. The patient was transported by ambulance to the Brookings Hospital.

11:32 a.m. Brookings Police investigated a minor private property crash in the 2400 block of Sixth Street.

7:20 p.m. The Brookings Police Department was dispatched to the 700 block of Brooklawn Drive for a report of someone requesting 911 assistance. Officers arrived on scene and arrested one male for simple assault domestic. A report has been generated.
