1:34 a.m. The Brookings Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of Sixth Street West for moving and speeding violations. During the investigation, the driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

8:39 a.m. The Brookings Police Department investigated a non-injury crash at the intersection of Seventh Avenue South and Remington Circle.

1:57 p.m. Brookings Police responded to the 300 block of Fourth Street for a report of an intoxicated person. This person was arrested for a parole violation.

2:19 p.m. The Brookings Police Department took a report of theft from a motor vehicle in the 100 block of Second Street South. A report was filed.

11:05 p.m. An officer with the Brookings Police Department responded to the 300 block of Medary Avenue South due to a report of a missing dog. The pup was later located in the custody of Brookings Animal Control.

11:09 p.m. The Brookings Police Department received a phone call about a male was on acid in the 1300 block of Seventh Street. Officers located the male, and EMTs took him to the hospital. During the investigation, it was determined that the male individual took four LSD gummies. The male was arrested.

Saturday, Oct. 9

12:21 a.m. Brookings Police officers responded to the 100 block of 12th Avenue South for a report of a burglary. A report was taken, and the investigation is ongoing. A male was also arrested for a felony warrant.

1:30 a.m. Brookings Police officers were in 100 block of 12th Avenue South on an unrelated matter. During the investigation, it was determined a vehicle had been vandalized. The investigation is ongoing.

2:20 a.m. The Brookings Police Department conducted a traffic stop near the 100 block of Main Avenue South. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for DUI. A report has been generated.

6:38 p.m. Brookings Police responded to a domestic assault. One female was arrested.

9:14 p.m. Brookings Police responded to a domestic. The suspect was later located and arrested for DUI and simple assault domestic.

11:35 p.m. Officers received a report of a harassment that had occurred. A report was generated, and the incident is currently under investigation.
